Police are investigating another report of an attempted luring in eastern Ontario.

Stormont, Dundas and Glengarry OPP said a male driver asked a young girl to get into his van around 2:15 p.m. Saturday in Ingleside, between Cornwall and Morrisburg.

The girl refused and the man drove away.

Police described this van as black with dark tinted windows and a dent on the rear passenger side.

This is at least the third local instance in just over a month of a man in a van trying to lure a child.

Other sightings were reported in Kemptville, Smiths Falls, Merrickville and Cardinal, although police later said two of those were false.

They said at that time they were unsure if the attempted lurings were connected because of vague vehicle descriptions.
