Ottawa Police say the shooting on Dynes Rd. was a targeted incident. Police say around 8:45 p.m. Saturday, a suspect in a white SUV fired multiple shots at an adult man as he was walking toward the front entrance of a building in the 900-block of Dynes Rd. The man was not injured, and the vehicle immediately fled the scene.

Police say they found multiple bullet casings. 

A man was taken into custody but later released, after police confirmed he was not the shooter. 

A residence was damaged by bullets and projectiles in the shooting.

Police confirm the shooting was targeted, and say the victim may have been followed by the white SUV. 

Police are asking any potential witnesses, or anyone who may have been in the area of Dynes Rd. and Prince of Wales Dr. around 8:45 p.m. last night to contact the West Criminal Investigations Section at (613)-236-1222 Ext 2666. Tips can also be submitted to Crime Stoppers.
