Police investigating December assault in Ottawa's Centretown neighbourhood

The Ottawa Police Service is looking to identify a suspect in connection to an assault in Ottawa's Centretown neighbourhood last month.

The alleged assault occurred in the area of Somerset Street West and Percy Street on Dec. 19 at approximately 6:30 p.m.

Police say the suspect had a "brief interaction" with the victim before assaulting them.

There were no serious injuries.

Police say the suspect is described as a white man, around 20 to 30 years old, with a medium build and medium-length brown hair. At the time of the alleged assault, the suspect was wearing skinny, dark-coloured jeans, a dark-coloured beanie, Vans shoes and no socks.
