Ottawa police are investigating after an altercation between a Blueline taxi driver and an Uber driver was captured on video and posted to YouTube this weekend.

The video appears to show a man threatening the driver of a parked vehicle, believed to be an Uber car. A passenger was in the car. Police say they are reviewing the video.

CTV News has learned the Blueline driver and his union will meet with their employer Coventry Connections on Monday afternoon, and the driver faces the possibility of firing.

The head of Coventry Connections says based on what he’s seen, the driver’s actions in the video are unacceptable.

Police are investigating, but have not identified the Uber driver so far.

The incident happened in front of the Chateau Laurier hotel in downtown Ottawa.  Officials at the hotel say the cabbie is no longer welcome at the hotel.

More to come.
