Ottawa police are looking for three male suspects after a violent bank robbery in the city's south end.

Police say a bank employee was pistol-whipped when three men held up a Scotiabank branch on Earl Armstrong Road in Riverside South at about 3:15 p.m. Thursday.

The men got away with an undisclosed amount of cash and fled on foot through the parking lot.

The employee suffered minor injuries and required some stitches.

Police describe the suspects as black males, possibly in their late teens. They were wearing dark clothing and black scarves covering their faces at the time of the incident.
