CAMPBELLFORD, Ont. - Ontario Provincial Police are conducting a criminal investigation into what they call the "unexpected death" of a 16-year-old girl in Campbellford, Ont.

Police say the investigation is ongoing with the coroner's office to discover the circumstances surrounding the death of Tasha Lavigne of Campbellford.

Investigators say they don't believe there is a risk to public safety.

Police want to hear from anyone with information.

Lavigne was found dead at a bed and breakfast in the community 50 kilometres east of Peterborough last Sunday.
