Police investigate suspicious package in Ottawa's downtown
Police investigation on Wurtemburg Street.
OTTAWA -- Ottawa Police say the scene has been cleared, but the investigation continues into a suspicious package in the 100 block of Wurtemburg Street near Rideau Street.
Crews responded to the scene around 10 p.m. Wednesday. Police say the investigation involves both a suspicious package and vehicle.
Apartment buildings in the 100 block of Wurtemburg Street were evacuated for several hours.
OC Transpo buses were brought in for residents forced to leave their homes until they were eventually allowed to return.
Ottawa Police say there is no danger to the public at this time.
