Police are investigating a brazen daytime assault in a busy part of east-end Ottawa Friday in which a woman claims she was dragged into a car and sexually assaulted.

At about 4 p.m., a woman said she was walking alone in the area of Belfast Road and Terminal Avenue when two males driving in a silver, four-door vehicle approached her.

Without speaking to her, the passenger got out of the vehicle, grabbed the woman and forced her into back seat of the car. The driver drove around as the suspect sexually assaulted her.

The victim said she was then dropped off near Innes and Cyrville roads.

The driver is described as a white male, clean-shaven, wearing a black baseball cap and white T-shirt.

The passenger is described as a white male, with a slim build, thin black goatee, dark hair with a brush cut, a pock-marked complexion, and wearing a black hoodie and jeans.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Sexual Assault Child Abuse Section at 613-236-1222 ext. 5944.
