OPP are asking for the public's help in their investigation of a body found on Highway 7 Saturday morning.

They said they found the body of a young man on the highway around 3:30 a.m. Saturday, and preliminary evidence suggests he was walking when he was hit by a large vehicle.

Police said they're asking anyone travelling the highway between Perth and Carleton Place between 2:00 and 3:00 a.m. Saturday to contact Lanark County OPP at 613-267-2626.

The highway was closed for the police's investigation, but re-opened around 10:20 a.m. Saturday.

A post-mortem is scheduled for Saturday to determine the man's identity and the cause of his death.
