Police in Lanark County have identified the victim of an early morning all terrain vehicle fatality Sunday near Smiths Falls.
Twenty-one-year-old Adam Taylor left a driveway about 4:20 a.m., crossed the road, entered a ditch and hit a tree.
A family member discovered the collision a short time later when Taylor did not turn up as expected at a nearby home.
Police believe speed may have been a factor in the collision.
Taylor was not wearing a helmet and died of his injuries at the scene.
He was a resident of Drummond-North Elmsely Township.
