Ontario Provincial Police will continue gathering evidence from the Ottawa and Tweed homes of Col. Russell Williams for the next few days.
Sgt. Kristine Rae told The Canadian Press that officers will continue to canvass the homes for some time yet.
Rae would not confirm a report that police have found so-called trophies in the homes, or that they were able to match a boot found in Williams' home to a footprint that was left at a homicide scene.
She added she could not discuss anything that's considered evidence.
Williams, the former commander of CFB Trenton, was arrested last week in connection with the death and disappearance of a Belleville woman.
He is now facing first-degree murder charges in the deaths of Jessica Lloyd, 27, as well as Cpl. Marie-France Comeau, who served under Williams' command at CFB Trenton.
Comeau was found dead in her Brighton, Ont. home last November.
He is also charged with the sexual assault and forcible confinement of two women in Tweed last fall.
Williams is scheduled to make his next court appearance via video link on Feb. 18.
