An Ottawa man has been charged by Police following Wednesday's shooting in Hintonburg.

Police say the shooting happened in the 1 to 100 block of Grant Street shortly before 2 a.m. on Wednesday, Mar. 18, 2015.

A bullet hole was found near a window on the first floor of the home.

Two individuals were home at the time of the incident. No injuries were reported.

22-year-old Scott Allan MacDonald has been charged with: 

  • use, handle, storage of a firearm carelessly
  • use, handle, storage or ammunition carelessly
  • possession of a prohibited firearm
  • discharge firearm with intent to wound
  • uttering threats, death or bodily harm
  • unlawful possession of a schedule II substance

Guns and Gangs is investigating, although they say the incident is not gang-related.
