SMITHS FALLS - Police have charged 24 people from Smiths Falls with a total of more than 150 counts in a drug investigation.

Police say they are looking for another six people in the three-month drug probe in the eastern Ontario community.

Those already in custody and charged in the operation by Smiths Falls and Ottawa police range in age from 17 to 58.

Using covert tactics, investigators say they identified and infiltrated groups suspected of trafficking in cocaine and marijuana in Smiths Falls.

Police say cocaine, marijuana and cash were seized during the investigation and search warrants executed Tuesday and Wednesday.

Charges include trafficking, drug possession for the purpose of trafficking and possession of property obtained by crime.
