The pilot of a small plane was forced to make an emergency landing Wednesday afternoon in a cornfield in the city’s west end.
Paramedics were called to the scene east of Merivale Rd. north of Fallowfield Rd. at around 3:20 p.m.
The pilot was approaching the Macdonald-Cartier Airport when he ran into engine trouble.
He was able to safely land the plane in the field. The pilot was not injured.
