A 24-year old man is in hospital in serious condition after being struck by a car in downtown Ottawa.   And witnesses are saying it was a case of road rage.  The collision happened around 11:30 this morning at the corner of Bank Street and Laurier Avenue.

The pedesatrian was struck by a white Mini Cooper.  One witness claims  the driver of the Mini Cooper had blown his horn at the pedestrian who then responded by banging on the car's roof.

Stephane Cousineau is in hospital in serious condition with abdominal and chest injuries.
