A female pedestrian is in hospital after being struck by an SUV at Riverside Dr. and Revelstoke Dr., Thursday morning.
Police say the call came in at about 9:30 a.m.
According to witnesses an elderly woman driving an SUV was turning left when she hit the pedestrian crossing the street.
The pedestrian flew over the hood of the vehicle before landing on the ground hitting her head.
"The girl was crossing the crosswalk and the car just went into her. Didn't see her, I guess, didn't stop, nothing, just drove right into her," says George Kardaras who witnessed the accident.
Emergency crews say the young woman was responsive when they arrived on scene.
She was taken to hospital by ambulance.
