A boil water advisory is in effect for part of Aylmer Friday nihgt.
About 1,500 residents are affected.
Officials are taking the precaution because of scheduled repair work to a water main installed in the 1970s. The advisory covers an area north from Aylmer Road to Allumettieres, and west from Honfleur to Samuel Edey.
It's expected the advisory will last from 11 p.m. Friday, Dec. 5 until 3 p.m. Saturday Dec. 6, 2014.
People are being told to boil water for one minute before drinking it.
