KINGSTON, Ont. -- Police say officers who stopped a driver for allegedly rolling through a stop light in Kingston, Ont., found the accused wasn't wearing any pants.

They say the incident occurred early Wednesday morning in front of a fully-marked Kingston police cruiser.

Investigators say the driver sped up when the officers activated the siren and lights but was forced to stop to wait for an apartment building garage door to open.

Before the door could open the officers pulled the man from the car and found he was wearing only underwear and a Toronto Blue Jays jersey.

The man was taken to the police station and official say breath samples indicated his blood-alcohol level was approximately 2 1/2 times the legal limit.

A 20-year-old Mississauga, Ont., man is facing charges of impaired driving, failing to stop at a red light, and failing to provide identification.
