OTTAWA -- Two people have been displaced by an overnight kitchen fire in Ottawa's east-end.

Firefighters responded to a 911 call reporting a fire in the middle unit of a row house complex at 1803 Russel Road around 2:40 a.m. 

Ottawa Fire says no one was hurt.

Damage is estimated at $40,000. Investigators were on scene early this morning to search for the cause of the fire. 

The Red Cross and Salvation Army have been asked to provide assistance to the two occupants of the home.
