A man and woman were arrested Wednesday after police and customs officials raided two Gatineau residences and a vehicle in search of drugs.

The RCMP, MRC des Collines police, and the Canada Border Services Agency swept down on Rue Ste-Marie in Gatineau and Rue R�mi in Cantley.

Police seized 561 grams of cocaine, 155 grams of hashish, 70 grams of marijuana, a .300 Magnum firearm, and a 2008 Cadillac sport utility vehicle.

Marcel Chenier is charged with possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking. Charges against the woman are pending.

Chenier will remain in custody until an April 15 bail hearing in Gatineau court. Further charges are expected.
