A 38-year-old Ottawa woman is facing attempted murder charges after a 60-year-old man was hit by a car in the city's west end on Friday.
Ottawa police say the man was stuck by a vehicle driven by a female suspect on Perth Street at about 9:40 a.m. Friday. A woman was arrested a short time later.
The man suffered serious injuries and was rushed to hospital in critical condition. He remains in hospital in stable condition.
Police say the male victim and female suspect know each other.
Rachelle Denis is charged with attempted murder, aggravated assault, assault with a weapon, dangerous operation of a motor vehicle and failing to stop at the scene of an accident.
