A female teacher with the Ottawa-Carleton District School Board appeared in court Tuesday after being charged with sexually assaulting a male student.
Police say Jennifer Lynne McCalla, 33, has been charged with sexual assault and sexual exploitation in relation to an investigation that was launched in early February.
Police say the charges stem from allegations the woman inappropriately touched a male student in late January.
McCalla has been suspended with pay and is not permitted to have any contact with students.
