Transit users in Ottawa's suburbs got limited express bus service for the first time in two months Monday morning.

Although it will still be weeks until full express bus service resumes, four of the busiest express and peak routes were back on the road Monday.

Those buses include route 27 in Orl�ans, route 61 in Kanata; route 77 in Barrhaven; and route 40 in Ottawa South.

The second phase of OC Transpo's plan to get buses rolling again involved15 other routes as well. Those routes either resumed full service or came back online for the first time Monday.

The additional buses bring OC Transpo service levels to 80 per cent capacity.

Those who still need to get a refund on their December bus pass have until Saturday to mail their pass to OC Transpo. Until last Friday, residents could get refunds at OC Transpo kiosks.

Fifty per cent discounts are still being offered on cash fares until the end of February.
