More than a dozen gas stations in Ottawa were still selling regular gas at more than 10 cents below the market price Wednesday.

On Kanata’s Eagelson Avenue,  one station listed its price at 1.22 a litre.

Just metres away,   another station listed the price at 131. 6  a litre.

Dan McTeague who runs the website Tomorrow’s  Gas Price Today says the Ottawa gas war is an attempt by the big oil companies to stifle competition by the smaller independent stations.

Most gas stations in Ottawa are selling gas at about 1.32 a litre for regular.
