The Ottawa Redblacks will play their first-ever regular-season game in Winnipeg against the Blue Bombers on July 3rd. The CFL unveiled its 2014 schedule which starts on June 26 with Toronto taking on Winnipeg. That same weekend features a Grey Cup rematch between the Hamilton Tiger-Cats and the Saskatchewan Roughriders.
“This is a big year for us, the start of a new era for our league,” said Mark Cohon, Commissioner of the Canadian Football League. “It features the launch of the new Ottawa Redblacks and the opening of TD Place in the national capital and Tim Hortons Field in Hamilton, alongside some of our most cherished traditions and rivalries, including classic Labour Day matchups and the Grey Cup.”
The team will make their home debut in the brand new stadium, TD Place, on July 18th against the Toronto Argonauts. Season tickets are on sale for all nine CFL teams now. Redblacks season tickets are available at their preview centre at 2016 Ogilvie Road, Unit 3 or by calling 613-232-6767.
