(Ottawa) — The Ottawa Police Service Robbery Unit is seeking the public's assistance in solving a home invasion.

On December 30, 2013 at approximately 12:00 a.m., occupants of a home situated along the 0 block of San Remo Private heard someone knocking at their door, and then screaming to be let in. The suspect appeared to be in possession of a handgun. The suspect then smashed a window adjacent to the door. The occupants fled the premises out another door. The suspect gained entry to the premises and fled with a jacket and an electronic device that were readily available. There were no injuries.

The suspect is described as being a Caucasian male, 20's, 5'7"(170 cm), wearing a black jacket with a fur trimmed hood. Investigators would like to identify and speak to a person of interest captured on video surveillance at Hurdman Station about 30 minutes after this incident.
