Ottawa Police are searching for a bank robbery suspect responsible for at least three incidents in the last several days.

Two robberies in the last two days involve the same suspect, Police say. On Sunday, Feb. 8, a man walked into a bank along the 2300 block of St. Joseph Boulevard in Orleans. He handed a note to an employee at the customer services desk, demanding cash. The suspect indicated that he had a gun, although none was seen.  The man fled the bank when he learned that there was no cash on hand at the customer service desk.

On Monday, Feb. 9 the same suspect entered a bank along the 2600 block of Innes Road in Blackburn Hamlet. Again he produced a note demanding cash. When employees handed over the money, the man pulled out a gun and demanded more cash. He fled the bank with an unknown amount of money. No one was hurt. He was last seen running eastbound down Innes Road.

The same man is believed responbsible for a failed robbery attempt at the same Innes Road branch Jan. 23. In that case, the man walked into the bank at 7:40 .p.m, fumbled for a note and left the bank empty-handed when he was unable to find it.

The suspect being sought is described as a black male, 19-23 years of age, slim build, 5'6'-5'8" in height, likely right-handed. He has worn different clothing in each case.
