Ottawa police are looking for more suspects after a man in a wheelchair was assaulted just west of downtown in July.

The incident happened around 6:30 p.m. on July 11 near Burnside Avenue and Stonehurst Avenue, which is close to Tunney’s Pasture.

A 50-year-old man was trying to intervene in an argument between a man and a woman that appeared to be turning physical when the man hit him several times.

Police said many people saw both the assault and the male suspect leaving on foot, but they believe there are still some they haven’t spoken to.

If this applies to you, police are asking you to call Const. Marc Denis at 613-236-1222 extension 5412.
