Ottawa police are investigating a suspicious death after a man's body was found in an apartment east of Ottawa's downtown core.
Police were called to Jolliet Avenue off Beechwood Avenue shortly after the body was discovered at about 12:20 p.m. on Thursday.
Police have confirmed the death is "suspicious." The identity and age of the victim are unknown.
Police say an autopsy will be performed to determine the man's cause of death.
Witnesses say there are several police vehicles in the area.
The Major Crime Unit is leading the investigation.
