A man is in hospital in serious condition following a stabbing and beating Saturday night near the Carling Avenue and Richmond Road area of Ottawa in the city's west end.
The incident took place around 7:15 p.m. on Ritchie Street, just west of Britannia Park. The male victim had head and back injuries after the attack, police said.
One person, a man, is in custody and police are searching for two others that they say were involved in the assault.
An investigation continues.
