Ottawa police have arrested a man after a confrontation with police on Saturday afternoon.
39-year-old Luqman Abdunnur faces four charges including assaulting an officer, obstructing police, resisting arrest and driving while under suspension.
Police had pulled over a car at Bank St. and Heron Road around 3:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 25, 2014. They say the driver became combative and assaulted one of the officers. An OPP officer in the area ran to help and fired a shot. No one was injured. Police used a Taser to subdue the man.
