Ottawa Police Break and Enter Team charged 6 men with offences
OTTAWA - On Monday, July 15 at 12:35am, the Ottawa Police Service responded to a call of a break and enter at a residence on Madrid Avenue. A female homeowner was awakened and confronted by six men, wearing bandanas over their faces, inside her home and she called 9-1-1.
Responding Patrol and Tactical officers were able to arrest all six suspects in a vehicle fleeing the scene. The victim suffered no injuries. The suspects were not known to her.
Four adult males and two young offenders face charges of Break/Enter and Theft, Wearing a disguise, Conspiracy to commit an Indictable Offence, Possession of Break-in Instruments, Mischief and Breaching release conditions.
Mathieu DUFOUR, 19 year old of Ottawa; Brendan AUBERTIN, 19 year old of Ottawa; Andrew GODARD, 25 year old of Ottawa; Shawn MINOR, 23 year old of Ottawa as well as two male young offenders.
Dufour, Minor and Godard were sent to Showcause this morning; and the two Young Offenders and Aubertin were released on a Promise to Appear and Conditions.
