OTTAWA - The Ottawa Police Service Robbery Unit is investigating a June personal robbery and is seeking the public's assistance in identifying the suspect.
On June 30, 2013, at approximately 5:15 pm, a lone male victim was walking within the Rideau Centre while also texting on his phone. A male suspect approached him, grabbed the phone from his hand, and pushed the victim backwards. The suspect then fled within the mall.
The suspect is described as being a Caucasian male, mid 20's, average height/build, long, shoulder length curly brown hair, goatee, wearing a grey long sleeve shirt, army green khaki pants tucked into black army/combat style boots.
