Ottawa's Paramedic Service ranks high for its speediness in responding to calls and the number of defibrillators available across the city.
According to a new city report, Ottawa paramedics are able to respond to an average call in the city's urban core in less than eight and a half minutes despite an eight percent increase in calls.
There are also more than 600 buildings throughout the city equipped with defibrillators.
