Ottawa police are on the hunt for a man wanted in connection with an attempted murder at a strip club in the city's east end more than two months ago.

Police say the man is wanted after allegedly firing two shots at an employee of The NuDen strip club, located at 1560 Triole St. on July 5 at 12:48 a.m. The employee was shot twice in the legs. One of the bullets also hit a patron, who suffered a wound to his lower body.

Gutu Osman Daoud, 20, is now wanted for attempted homicide and aggravated assault. Police say he should be considered armed and dangerous.

Daoud is described as a black male who is about five feet 10 inches tall and 140 pounds. His current whereabouts is unknown.
