An Ottawa man accused of making child pornography and putting it online was charged by police on Saturday.
Police say the 41-year-old's name cannot be published in order to protect the young victim.
The man is charged with the following:
- making child pornography
- distributing child pornography
- possessing child pornography
- sexual interference
- invitation to sexual touching
- sexual assault
Police became aware of the alleged offences on Friday and went ahead with a search warrant Saturday. They seized three computers and what they've identified as "various digital media."
Anyone who suspects child abuse or exploitation is encouraged to contact Ottawa police immediately.
