Ottawa police have charged an Ottawa man with assault Friday after a disturbance east of the city.
They said they charged 53-year-old Barry Larkin with possession of dangerous weapons, assault with a weapon and forcible confinement after he was arrested Friday.
The charges come after police said they were called to a disturbance in the 300 block of Donald Street in Vanier.
Larkin was taken to the police's central cells for further investigation, according to police.
