OTTAWA -- An Ottawa man faces luring charges after police allege he contacted an officer posing as a 14-year-old girl online.

Investigators allege a man communicated with the officer through social media and made plans to meet on Friday for an alleged sexual encounter.

They say a suspect was arrested where the meeting was supposed to take place.

Matthieu Martel, 20, is charged with two counts of computer contact with a person under 18 years of age and one count each of computer contact with a person under 16 years of age for a sexual purpose and breach of probation.

He is due in court Saturday.
