Six victims have come forward in a case against an Ottawa man accused of failing to disclose a life-threatening sexual disease to his partners.

Steven Boone, 29, now faces 23 charges of aggravated sexual assault.

Boone was arrested in early May, when he was charged with nine counts of aggravated sexual assault against a male victim. Five more victims have since come forward.

In an unusual move, police released Boone's photo following his arrest, urging any other victims to contact investigators and visit a doctor to get tested.

Police believe Boone made contact with many of his sexual partners online. He remains in custody.

Anyone who has had sexual contact with Boone is asked to contact Ottawa Police Sexual Assault/Child Abuse Unit at 613-236-1222 ext. 5944 or Crime Stoppers at 613-233-8477 (TIPS).
