OTTAWA - On Monday, Oct. 20, 2014 at approximately 2:00 p.m. a shooting occurred in the 100 block of Chesterton Drive in the City of Ottawa. This shooting was never reported to police. No one was injured.
The Ottawa Police Service was made aware of this shooting on Tuesday, Oct. 21, 2014 and the investigation was being led by the Guns and Gangs Unit. This investigation led to the arrest of Mr. Peter Emmanuele Russo (34 years of age) of Ottawa.
Mr. Russo has been charged with the following offences:
- Point a firearm (2 counts)
- Use firearm carelessly
- Discharge firearm being reckless
- Common nuisance/ endanger lives or safety of public.
