Ottawa will be represented on the PGA tour next year thanks to Manotick’s Brad Fritsch.
The 35-year-old golfer finished high enough in this weekend’s Web.com Tour Championship in Texas to qualify for the highest level of professional golf competition.
“Holy (smokes). I'm on the PGA Tour in 2013!!!!” he tweeted shortly after the tournament ended.
Fritsch shot a two-under-par 69 to finish tied for ninth, ending up at -8 for the tournament.
He is the first Ottawa golfer to become a PGA pro.
