The best on four wheels are rolling into the Shaw Centre this weekend for the Ottawa Gatineau International Auto Show.

29 dealers and more than 300 cars are on display at the four day show.

High-end names like Tesla, Rolls-Royce, and Lamborghini, including other dealers like Ford, Nissan, Mercedes-Benz and Toyota have new vehicles for car lovers to see.

New car sales in Canada are on the rise, with record sales recorded in both 2013 and 2014. According to the Canadian Automobile Dealers Association, more than 1.85 million cars were sold in Canada last year. That rise, credited to a boost in sales of crossover vehicles, trucks, SUVs, and low oil prices.

“That broad segment has really driven growth in the last couple of years,” says Michael Hatch at the Canadian Automobile Dealers Association.

The auto show is an opportunity for attendees to ask dealers questions about their cars, and to easily compare prices and models, says Rick Walker, one of the organizers of the auto show.

“This is one of the most exciting times in the auto industry because there’s never been more choice.”

The Ottawa Gatineau International Auto Show runs through Sunday. Admission ranges from $7 to $17 per person.
