An Ottawa company has been fined $125, 000 after a worker was killed while working on hydro lines in Ottawa's west end in March 2012.

The Digsafe Inc. worker was electrocuted when the boom of a utility vehicle came within three metres of live power lines on Moodie Drive.

Two other workers received electrical shocks but fully recovered.

Digsafe was fined in violation of Ontario's Occupational Health and Safety Act.

The company pleaded guilty to the charge.
