Flyers at the Ottawa International Airport said Monday they're more nervous about travelling by air the day after a plane skidded off its runway while landing.
United Express flight 3633 was moved late-afternoon Monday after sitting in a grassy area off the runway, where it slid to a halt Sunday afternoon after a flight from Chicago.
Those at the airport said the fact the same thing happened to a plane from the same airline in 2010 wasn't helping their nerves.
"Yeah, I'm a little bit concerned but it's my only way home," said Donald Nzorubara.
"I try to remind myself whenever I get a little scared of flying that it's actually riskier to drive than it is to fly," said Tommy Odloug.
Passengers who were on Sunday's flight said the experience was frightening.
"The pilot seemed to gun the engine," said David Ross. "I don't know if it was to right the plane or take off again, but we clearly ran out of runway."
"It all happened so fast," said Barry Silverman. "There was a lot of screaming and yelling."
Officials from Trans States Airlines, which operated the flight, said they weren't going to speculate on what caused the crash.
Passengers said they descended from a dark cloud and landed as it was raining, circumstances similar to the 2010 crash.
Transport Canada is investigating, but finding a cause can take a while - the previous crash's investigation is still open.
Investigators said they're gathering evidence on Sunday's incident, which includes accessing the flight recorder.
