The City of Ottawa's top manager has been given a new three-year contract.
Kent Kirkpatrick has been the city's manager since March 2004.
He oversees a $2.6-billion corporation with more than 14,000 full-time employees.
His salary last year was disclosed on the city's Sunshine List at $318,000, including benefits.
City council voted unanimously to extend Kirkpatrick's contract until 2014.
