An Orleans woman is celebrating after hitting a $ 3.3 million jackpot in the August 17th Lotto 6/49 draw.
Shannon Severin purchased the winning ticket at the Jean Coutu pharmacy on St. Joseph Boulevard.
“I checked my ticket on the self-checker one morning while running errands,” explained Shannon, while at the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto to claim her prize. “I initially thought I won $3,000. When I realized the true amount, I was shocked. I couldn’t breathe! It was so surreal,” said Severin in an OLG news release
Shannon says she will take some time before choosing how to spend her windfall.
