Ontario Provincial Police are searching for answers after a fatal hit-and-run killed a teenager who was found dead along the side of Highway 7.
Eighteen-year-old Benjamin Rogers, of Tay Valley Township, graduated from high school this past June. Friends say he was walking home from a party early Saturday night when he was struck and killed.
Police say Rogers' body was found at about 3:30 a.m. along the side of Highway 7, near Innisville, Ont., located about an hour southwest of Ottawa.
Police say their investigation leads them to believe Rogers was walking along the highway when he was hit by a large vehicle.
Police have called the case a hit-and-run. So far, nobody has come forward.
Anyone who was travelling on the highway between Perth and Carleton Place between 2 a.m. and 3 a.m. Saturday is asked to contact police immediately at 613-267-2626.
