The Hawkesbury detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police arrested a third man this week in connection with an armed pharmacy robbery in the region. He will appear in court on Monday to face charges.
Rudy Lagace, 44, of Lachute, Que. was charged Friday with robbery with a firearm, conspiracy to commit an indictable offence, forcible confinement, possession of a weapon for dangerous purpose, point firearm, and disguise with intent.
Police said the incident took place around 10 a.m. on July 12, when two armed males entered a pharmacy on Vankleek Hill's Main Street and left in a black car, possibly a Honda Accord.
Around 11:45 that morning, police found a vehicle matching the description and eventually stopped it on Highway 50 with the help of the Surete du Quebec.
Arrested that day were Maryse Touchette, 27, and Keith Vaillancourt, 32, both of Grenville Que. They were charged with robbery with a firearm.
Lagace will appear in a court in L'Orignal, Ont. court on Monday.
