Ontario Provincial Police have identified a teen struck and killed on Highway 417 on Friday, October 31, 2014.
Pedestrian Cameron Hicks, 19, was on the Queensway near Nicholas Street when he was hit by a vehicle traveling westbound, and was then struck by a second vehicle. The first vehicle fled the scene. Police later charged the driver, Fuad Ahmed, 24, of Ottawa with Fail to Remain. He is to appear in court January 5, 2015.
OPP have not said why Hicks was on the highway at the time he was struck.
The investigation is continuing with the assistance of OPP Technical Traffic Collision Investigators.
