The Ontario government will release its 'sunshine list' on Wednesday, identifying employees who earned more than $100,000 last year.
The list will disclose the salaries of hospital, hydro, college and university employees.
The City of Ottawa released its sunshine list on Friday, which included the names of 37 people who are no longer employed by the city. The severance and buyouts paid to the group total more than $4.4 million.
Among those who still earned more than $100,000 last year is former city clerk Pierre Page, who earned $150,000; former communications director Dennis Abbott, who made $143,000; and former traffic boss Michael Flainek who earned $153,000.
The government is required by law to disclose salaries and taxable benefits of any employee who is paid more than $100,000 in a single year.
